A company made to shield versus DDoS attacks has been blamed for an internet outage that impacted big banks and public sector organisations across Australia on Thursday, resulting in the failure of internet websites and on the web services.

A spokesperson from ANZ advised IT Pro that an issue with an exterior company briefly afflicted connectivity on its core providers, including its app and on the web banking. The spokesperson additional that connectivity was “restored quickly” and “all our impacted expert services are back online”.
