The new law was approved by the Senate on 28 October and before in the thirty day period by the House in a 420-4 vote.
The monthly bill specifies that it applies to machines presently mentioned in the Secure and Trustworthy Communications Networks Act of 2019, this means that it will use to Huawei, ZTE, and other Chinese tech businesses that were being named in the act.
