The alarm was lifted at the beginning of last week by staff at the New York Office environment of Information Technology Companies (ITS) who been given an warn relating to suspicious exercise on JCOPE’s network. The Commission shut down methods, which include its lobbying application and economical disclosure statement on-line submitting method as a precaution.
JCOPE explained the attack was confirmed following “several days of preliminary forensic evaluation by ITS.”
No timeline has been provided as to when the programs will be again up and operating, with JCOPE indicating only that the techniques will continue being offline “until they can be introduced again up properly.”
