Hacked Ukrainian Radio Stations Broadcast Fake News About President Zelensky’s Health

Ukrainian radio stations were hacked this 7 days by danger actors to distribute fake news about President Volodymyr Zelensky’s wellness, according to Ukraine’s security officers.

Adhering to the hack, Zelensky resolved the phony information, stating: “I am in the business and I have never ever felt as wholesome as I do now” and accusing Russia of orchestrating the attack.  

TAVR Media announced that it is performing “to clear up the dilemma.” Nevertheless, it continues to be unclear which hacker group is driving the transmission, with Ukraine’s cyber-attack reaction unit CERT-UA first getting to investigate the incident.

The attack arrives as no surprise given the ongoing kinetic and cyber war between Russia and Ukraine, reiterating how deeply intertwined cybersecurity and geopolitics are. Before this month, the SSSCIP reported a surge in cyber-attacks focusing on Ukraine in Q2 of 2022, with the range of registered and processed cyber incidents growing from 40 to 64.

In March 2022, multiple Ukrainian information websites were allegedly hacked by Russian threat actors, leaving the notorious ‘Z’ symbol on show to people.
