Lithuanian strength enterprise Ignitis Group was strike by what it explained as its “biggest cyber-attack in a decade” on Saturday when many dispersed denial of services (DDoS) attacks had been aimed at it, disrupting its digital solutions and internet sites. 

Pro-Russian hacking team Killnet claimed duty for the attack on its Telegram channel on Saturday, making this the hottest in a series of attacks launched by the group in Lithuania owing to that country’s aid for Ukraine in the war with Russia.

In a post on the Ignitis Group’s Facebook web page on July 9, the firm stated it experienced been equipped to deal with and limit the attack’s influence on its programs and that no breaches ended up recorded. Having said that, the put up also discovered that attacks had been ongoing. 

Speaking on Lithuanian radio, the country’s vice minister for national defense cautioned towards too much notice remaining paid out to these cyber-attacks. He believes that their major objective is searching for publicity and driving tensions in the area.
