The U.S. Section of the Treasury’s Business office of Foreign Assets Management (OFAC) imposed sanctions in opposition to a dozen people today serving executive and senior management roles at Kaspersky Lab, a day just after the Russian corporation was banned by the Commerce Division.

The sanctions, nonetheless, do not prolong to Kaspersky Lab, its dad or mum or subsidiary firms, nor the company’s founder and chief govt officer (CEO), Eugene Kaspersky, OFAC pointed out. The 12 C-suite and senior-degree executives sanctioned are shown below –

  • Andrei Gennadyevich Tikhonov, Chief Functioning Officer (COO) and board member
  • Daniil Sergeyevich Borshchev, Deputy CEO and board member
  • Andrei Anatolyevich Efremov, Chief Organization Advancement Officer (CBDO) and board member
  • Igor Gennadyevich Chekunov, Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and board member
  • Andrey Petrovich Dukhvalov, Vice President and Director of Future Technologies
  • Andrei Anatolyevich Suvorov, Head of Kaspersky Operating Procedure Small business Device
  • Denis Vladimirovich Zenkin, Head of Corporate Communications
  • Marina Mikhaylovna Alekseeva, Main Human Resources (HR) Officer
  • Mikhail Yuryevich Gerber, Executive Vice President of Customer Enterprise
  • Anton Mikhaylovich Ivanov, Main Technology Officer (CTO)
  • Kirill Aleksandrovich Astrakhan, Govt Vice President for Company Enterprise
  • Anna Vladimirovna Kulashova, Taking care of Director for Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS)

The improvement follows actions by the Commerce Department prohibiting Kaspersky from supplying its computer software and other security expert services in The usa commencing July 20, 2024, citing nationwide security considerations. The enterprise has also been put on the Entity Listing.

Russia has mentioned the revenue ban on Kaspersky application was a regular go by the U.S. to stifle foreign levels of competition with American items. Kaspersky has maintained that it has no links to the Russian governing administration.
