The United States Section of Justice has released a world legislation enforcement action towards a cyber-prison gang that has produced hundreds of thousands by selling ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS).

NetWalker ransomware has claimed various victims, together with corporations, municipalities, hospitals, legislation enforcement departments, crisis providers, school districts, schools, and universities. In June past year, the University of California San Francisco admitted paying $1.14m to get well crucial academic function saved on some of its School of Drugs servers that had been encrypted by NetWalker.
