The UK federal government has launched a consultation to regulate the involvement of Chinese tech firm Huawei in the country’s infrastructure.

In July 2020, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered Huawei machines to be removed completely from Britain’s 5G network by 2027 in excess of countrywide security concerns.
