The US Division of Defense (DoD) has launched a site to accompany its Hack the Pentagon (HtP) method.

The Chief Digital and Synthetic Intelligence Office (CDAO) Directorate for Digital Solutions (DDS), Craig Martell, unveiled the internet site final Thursday. It will be a source for DoD corporations, vendors and security researchers to have an understanding of how to perform a bug bounty. 

The internet site will also help partnerships with the CDAO DDS team to aid and take part in DoD-huge bug bounties.

“With the HtP web-site launch, CDAO is scaling a long-running software, which traditionally offered services on a venture-by-job basis, by presenting the Division improved obtain to lessons uncovered and finest techniques for hosting bug bounties,” Martell explained. 

“The web page can help equip DoD to run steady bug bounties as aspect of a much larger extensive cybersecurity technique.”

The DDS also spelled out that, past its academic functions, the new web-site also aims to interact and recruit technical talent.

“Through Hack the Pentagon, we’re setting up a world wide talent pipeline for cybersecurity authorities to add to our national protection outdoors of standard authorities career paths,” commented Jinyoung Englund, performing director of CDAO DDS.

According to a web site post printed by the Directorate final Thursday, Hack the Pentagon has supported about 40 bug bounties given that its launch in 2016. Far more than 1400 ethical hackers participated in these programs and have collectively discovered roughly 2100 vulnerabilities.

The second iteration of the Hack the Pentagon program was unveiled in 2018. The DDS became aspect of the CDAO corporation in June 2022.
