McAfee Business and FireEye have relaunched as a new company named Trellix, its mother or father organization Symphony Technology Group (STG) has declared.

McAfee Business and FireEye merged in Oct 2021 pursuing STG’s acquisition of McAfee Enterprise earlier in the calendar year.

The title Trellix has been chosen for the relaunch as it evokes the framework of a trellis, a strong and safe and sound framework utilized to help the structured growth of climbing plants and trees.

The organization aims to present prospects ‘living security,’ the thought of systems that can find out and adapt to counter evolving cyber-threats. Trellix’s XDR system provides more than six hundred native and open security systems, made to deliver security analysts with the insights to answer rapidly to threats.

William Chisholm, running associate at STG, commented: “We are incredibly psyched to have Trellix in the STG portfolio. Customers can hope Trellix’s residing security platform to supply bold innovation across the XDR sector.”

Bryan Palma, main government officer of Trellix, explained: “As today’s organizations drive to attain electronic transformation, a strong security basis is essential to assure continued innovation, growth and resiliency.

“Trellix’s XDR platform guards our consumers as we provide security to lifetime with automation, device understanding, extensible architecture and threat intelligence.”

STG extra that it expects to start the McAfee Company Safe Provider Edge (SSE) portfolio as a different company afterwards this quarter, inclusive of cloud accessibility security broker (CASB), safe web gateway (SWG) and zero have confidence in network entry (ZTNA).  

In November 2021, a deal was agreed for the invest in of the rest of the McAfee business by a group of non-public buyers.
