A Florida man has pleaded responsible to producing more than $100m from importing and advertising counterfeit Cisco networking units.
Onur Aksoy, 39, of Miami, pleaded responsible to conspiring with other people to visitors in counterfeit items, to dedicate mail fraud, and to dedicate wire fraud and mail fraud. Additional, between 2014 and 2019, Cisco despatched seven cease and desist letters to Aksoy, with the latter responding at the very least twice via his attorney with forged files. In July 2021, agents searched his warehouse and seized 1156 counterfeit Cisco units with a retail price of about $7m.
